Life is better on rollerblades

As I went for a blade with my little fam bam today, I had a cool epiphany!

..

If we applied the learnings of jumping on a pair of blades after 20+ years to life generally, how different our experience of it could be?

..

Blading was a suggestion of a friend. Not something I'd have thought of, but I had fond memories of blading, I was decent at it, so why not give it a crack🤷

..

I popped a call out on Facey and before I knew it, I had me a pair of blades.

..

At first I was fearful but confident enough. Hills were scary AF, so I stayed well away from them!

..

I had a decent set back when I cracked my elbow open, but it taught me a valuable lesson in not getting too ahead of myself😂.

..

It also reminded me that carrying other people's crap has the propensity to affect balance and thus resulted in a fall.

..

Once I was able to get back on the blades, I'd lost a bit of confidence. Rather than admitting defeat i recognised it for what it was, a minor set back...I totally had this😁.

..

Fast forward a few weeks. I wanted to get better, I loved it so much! I knew the only way to do that, was stepping outside my comfort zone.

..

Instead of driving to locations, I used my blades to get me there. I was shit scared at first, but figured I could only get better right🤷.

..

I kept pushing my limits and naturally continued improving. Now, I blade everywhere!

..

From the house to the lake, around it and back again. I even park and blade to the office, which means free parking!

..

If I'd not taken the chance to do something that challenged me, I wouldn't have achieved such massive progress🙏.

..

Opportunities to experience different things in life come and go like sliding doors. If we want it, it's there for the taking!

..

How often you can honestly say you take the challenge?
